Mr. M. Jinnat Ali Mian, the CEO of Brothers Enterprise and Supernova Trading Associates Ltd, a self made man with dynamism is a familiar name in the business circle of Dhaka.

After completing his Masters in Economics from the University of Dhaka and Masters in Transport Economics from Institute for Transport Studies (ITS),at University of Leeds, UK, started his career as the Transport Economist in Tehran Department of Transport, Iran in1976. He also worked in the same organisation as a Transport Consultant. Of all his contributions to the improvement in the transport system of Tehran, the Bus Lane system, and Tehran Central Bus Terminal are still carrying the testimony of Mr. Jinnat's Transport planning intellect. On return home in 1981 he started his own Seafood business under the umbrella of Bipul Corporation. Apart from working as a Sourcing Agent of frozen seafood, Bipul Corporation used to export chilled Chinese Pomfret and Grouper, and Live Crab Turtle to Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Mr. Jinnat pioneered to include Live Crabs and Turtles in the export list of Bangladesh in early 1980s. He was in seafood business until end of 1984. To diversify the exports he, as the Chairman and Managing Director, started export oriented Garment factory, Hollywood Fashions (Pvt.) Ltd. in 1984. By 1998 there were Four garment factories under his dynamic leadership having over $4.00 million exports to the world market. Mr. Jinnat was the elected Vice President (Finance) and 2nd Vice President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the Apex Trade Body of over 4000 Export oriented Garment factories of Bangladesh, in two different 2-year terms. During his office in the BGMEA he led Trade delegations to Greece, Spain and Belgium under EU project and he also represented BGMEA in UNICEF International Seminar in Kathmandu, Nepal on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility for Children’. He also worked hand in hand with ILO in elimination of Child workers from Garment Industry of Bangladesh and imparting education to the displaced child workers through Schools set up by NGOs.

After about 25 years of operation, Mr.Jinnat stopped apparel manufacturing business in 2008 and established the family owned trading concern “Brothers Enterprise” in 2009 to trade in export and import of food products. Mr. Jinnat restarted his Seafood Sourcing/Buying Agency business in late 2012 in the flagship of "Brothers Enterprise". To help diversify products and markets we have set up a new Trading concern "World Trade Syndicate" under the same ownership.
